David Backes grew up playing hockey, soccer and baseball in Spring Lake Park. He ended up playing 15 seasons in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues, Boston Bruins and Anaheim Ducks. Now, the 38-year-old has ventured into the restaurant business in retirement.
