David Bass: It Starts With Jesus

What does it mean to live a life that is truly rooted, resilient, and fruitful? In this message, we explore how everything begins — and is sustained — by building our lives on Jesus. Using Psalm 1 and Matthew 7, we see a powerful picture of stability: a tree planted by streams of water and a house built on the rock. We’re reminded that a rooted life is one that delights in God’s Word, meditates on it daily, and puts it into practice. When storms come — and they will — a life founded on Jesus does not collapse, but stands firm and continues to bear fruit. This message also challenges us to make intentional choices that help us grow: prioritising Scripture and prayer, committing to community, serving others, and training our lives around the way of Jesus (1 Corinthians 9:24–25). Whether you are new to faith or have followed Jesus for many years, this message is an invitation to go deeper — to build your life on the rock and become truly rooted. 📖 Key Scriptures: Psalm 1; Matthew 7:24–27; 1 Corinthians 9:24–25 #Rooted #ItStartsWithJesus #BuildOnTheRock #ChristianDiscipleship #Faith #LifeVineyardChurch
