We may believe in prayer and know that it matters, yet pride, anxiety, hurry, disappointment, and the pressures of everyday life can quietly pull us away from it. Jesus, however, invites us into a life of persistent prayer—not as a religious performance, but as an ongoing relationship with our Father.
