David Caird (Artistic Director, Lift Community Choir)

An interview with David Caird, the Artistic Director with the Lift Community Choir in Saint John, NB. www.liftcommunitychoir.ca David Caird is a lifelong choral singer whose experiences with the Toronto Mendelssohn and Vancouver Bach choirs, and a number of community groups, prepared him for his first role as Artistic Director for the Joyful Voice Community Choir in Vancouver, a post that spanned 13 years. While living on the Saanich Peninsula near Victoria, BC, David performed with the Peninsula Singers and the Peninsula Players, including as chorus member/lead in the Peninsula Players production of Mamma Mia! and Music Director for Christmas pantos Grinched! and Puss in Boots. Since making his home in Saint John, David has performed in the Saint John Chorale’s Christmas and Spring concerts and the Symphony Chorus’s Messiah. He is thrilled to be returning to the role of Artistic Director with Lift Community Choir in the fall of 2023
