An all new Appreciation Month is upon us here at Cinema Degeneration and this time we are delving into the twisted works and mind of the one and only Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg whose career started in the late 1960's! It's a month long celebration of all things body horror, strange killers, telekinesis, rampant diseases, sexual perversions, more body horror, technological mutations, oh and did we mention body horror??? Our 3rd episode is based upon his titanic effort with the 1981 classic "SCANNERS". Starring Michael Ironside, Jennifer O'Neill, Patrick McGoohan, Lawrence Dane, and Stephen Lack. A rmovie that generated two official and two unofficial sequels. It's a twisted tale of a small group of special people whose thoughts can kill with a telepathic ability called 'scanning' and their fight against those that would see them used as weapons.
