The show's guest, David L. Oakford, had a profound Near-Death Experience as the result of a drug overdose in 1979, when he was 19 years old.. Since then, David has worked in a few factories, served in the US Navy, attended business school and earned a four year degree in accounting. He was a stay-at-home father for his growing family, as well. He worked as a software analyst, but was laid off in the Great Recession. Currently, David works part time as a janitor at his city's spooky movie theater. He is also a disabled veteran. David lives with his family in the Metro Detroit area.
