Matt. 24 - Jesus Christ – the abomination that causes desolation, (referring to Daniel) 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul the apostle calls him: 1. the lawless one 2. the man of sin 3. the son of perdition. 1. Eyes – Suggest knowledge and insight 2. Mental acumen & ability 3. Charm and popularity (Rev 13 – “who is like the beast?) 4. Peacemaker – bring peace to Israel Mouth boasting – incredible oratorical ability Articulate boasting Blasphemous – vs. 25 “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High.” "He will oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."
