David Macdonald - August 18th 2024 -Studies in Genesis Part 10: The Beginning of Nations & Language The Table of Nations Book of Beginnings Sons of Japheth Sons of Ham Sons of Shem Tower of Babel What about Races? Genesis 10:1-32 The Tower of Babel Genesis 11:1-4 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. (2) And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. (3) And they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly." And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. (4) Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.“ ~2250 BC – about 100years after the Flood About 1000 to 10,000 people at this point One language. Plan against God. God sent them out – but they gathered together to build a city, Shinar (Iraq) Build a tower going up to heaven. They build a city by man, for man and without God. Vs. 4 – note – let us make a name for ourselves – pride Genesis 11:5-9 (5) And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. (6) And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. (7) Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech." (8) So the LORD dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. (9) Therefore, its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth. And from there the LORD dispersed them over the face of all the earth. Language - one Let us go down – vs. 7 Confusion & dispersion Results of Babel Approx. 70 people groups dispersed Groups formed their own cultures Moved further from other cultures with little contact Gene pool – split up over time – distinct features & characteristics develop Correct understanding of human history – understanding of racism Early evolutionists – influenced idea of race Sin cause of racism Race – What does the Bible Say?? Always a great question Bible teaches – one race – human race (mankind) 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart." Acts 17:24-26 NKJV “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. (25) "Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. (26) "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, Great commission – Go therefore and make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19) Acts 10:28 NLT Peter told them, "You know it is against the Jewish laws for me to come into a Gentile home like this. But God has shown me that I should never think of anyone as impure. Acts 17:30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

We're continuing in our studies in Genesis. It's part 10 and it's chapter 10 chapter 11. This one's really Tight on my glasses or something So this way I can't see you. So if you're nodding off go ahead no glasses, so Genesis this this will actually conclude the foundational part of Genesis chapter 11 is the end of the foundational part of Genesis and after chapter 11 the scriptures follow the life of starting with the life of Abraham and the line of one of Noah's sons Pretty much throughout the rest of the scriptures to point to the Lord Jesus Christ and Then of course all of the scripture is focused on him.

It's all about him actually from the first word to the last It's all about the Lord Jesus, but this this is the this is the end of the beginnings This is the end of the of the scriptures on the beginnings of of life on earth and and time so today we'll look at the table of nations the beginning of nations and the tower of Babel and I am Believe me, I am not going to get bogged down in detail So if you came here thinking oh great This is such a great chapter for Bible scholars to just dig in and get lost on what this main name means and and I suppose This means that so on you are so you might as well just check out now because I'm not gonna do that I'm gonna try to go through this and pull from this some things that are practical to us today is all practical genealogies can be difficult I have to say that in all of the messages I've ever worked on this This is probably one of the most difficult I've had to do because I have a contact lenses or something people get them for golf. I need them for preaching So so we will we will go through this now I ask you to be patient because at one point we will go through all these genealogies We'll just have the chapter will read through the chapter every word of scripture is important every word and genealogies are also important But I'd ask you to just be patient as we kind of go through those and and then we'll we'll see what we get from there so Okay Genesis is the book of beginnings as we've seen it's the beginnings of the earth begins of mankind to beginnings of marriage Beginnings of family the Sabbath sacrifice the gospel is has its roots in Genesis 3 15 where the liver is promised We sang this morning. He's our rescuer the rescue was first promised in Genesis 3 15 The beginnings of human governments beginnings of nations and now we're going to look at the beginnings of how these nations formed and the beginnings of language Now I did a little exercise the other night and I wrote down. I think it was 16 language groups We have here at North Bible temple Let that's incredible because you look around there's not a whole lot of people here But in this room and I don't think that any of those language groups are excluded from what I came up with my little list I might be one Hank has gone home, but the de jaggers are here, so I'm still okay with the with the Dutch part so 16 language groups in our little fellowship here.

We let that oh the Michaels. Yes, I see the now that my glasses on so So it's amazing in the small of the group like this. We would have some where they come from I mean Why does Henry not speak like a Cape Breender? Why does any man not speak like anybody else in the building?

It's where did that happen? Why? Did it as over time just people started picking up rocks and carving stuff and said no Let's turn this into a language and and it's unique to us and that's what we're gonna do Hmm seems impossible to me. We're not that smart So when we look at Genesis it's about the beginnings and it includes very interesting to beginnings of culture and the beginnings of language There are three sons of Noah, J.

F. Ham and Shem They are mentioned in the scriptures as Shem Ham and J. Feth sometimes in order of their redemptive importance through Shem would come the Savior The Lord Jesus his line descends from Shem Ham and J. Feth are the two brothers sometimes you read of J.

F. Ham and Shem in the reverse order because J. Feth is the oldest Shem is the youngest So the the entire earth today everybody in this room Everybody is descended from one of those three brothers. We all have our Beginnings and our roots back in these three brothers and the scripture goes through and does an outline of of the At this time 70 nations that come out of these there's there's There are 26 descendants of Shem there are 30 descendants of Ham and 14 of J.

Feth that are laid out in the scriptures And then we get to this table of nations that tells us all of these descendants and it reads quite difficulty I'm gonna have difficulty trying to pronounce a lot of these names But we'll try to do it and then you have the the tower of Babel or Babel whichever you want to call it We all know about that and it seems like fiction It seems like some kind of made up story that would make a great movie But it's not a made up story and it would make probably a great movie And we'll look at that and then I want to talk about what about races do we have different races here? How does God see us? How should we see each other and I want to talk about that? So let's just get right into I'll read the scriptures That may or may not be readable to you if not open your Bible if you have one or your device to Genesis chapter 10 And I'm gonna need I'm gonna need water to get through these these names really well.

Actually, I should follow email instructions I'm going to I'm going to have this read for us Because I will mess up every single one of these names and it will be dishorrible for you So we go to our Bible here Genesis 10. This is the neatest thing This is how he may lives his life. Okay. I'll turn this on If you can turn this mic on so that there's some sounds coming through that one too podium Mike If not, I'll just do this These are the generations of the sons of Noah Shem sons were born to them after the fleas of the sons of sham by their clowns Their lands and their nations these are the clans of the sons of Noah according to the genealogies in their nations And from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.

I'm so thankful for that guy I'm not sure who he is, but I think its initials are probably a I So that's a lot of reading that's a lot of names A lot of difficult names, but here's here's kind of a summary of what has taken place There's it outlines 70 nations 26 from sham 30 from ham 14 from j 5th now. This is a really detailed account of genealogies from the scriptures in fact, it's one of the oldest if not the oldest Ethnological tables in existence it's very very important because these things they prove the value and the accuracy of scriptures One man who is when he wrote when this was said I don't know if he ever became a believer William Albright this quote at the bottom he was an archaeologist a biblical scholar and His conclusion on the 10th chapter of Genesis says it stands absolutely alone in ancient literature the table of nations remains an astonishingly accurate Document I'm thankful for when somebody who's not even a believer can open up the scriptures read a chapter and says This is true. It just builds my confidence in the rest of it The scriptures are true the scriptures can be believed the scriptures are accurate the scriptures prove themselves And the other interesting thing is no one has ever been able to disprove the scriptures So you can put your faith in the word of God You can put your trust in the word of God So Genesis also not only is it a book of beginnings and it is a book of blessings It tells us the blessings that will come later through the Lord Jesus There's godly line that will that will come through sham through Abraham through Jacob all the way through to King David and continues on to the Lord Jesus Christ So we look at it we see it as beginnings we see it as the book of of blessings as well so These are Oh, sorry with the wrong way These in Genesis 10 Here are the roughly 70 well those say 70 here if there may be four more But these are the clans and languages and nations that descended from these three sons of of Noah now I believe this came from yes, it was a guy named rodei barbodi Hodges, I think it is or something he Answers in Genesis doesn't work with him and he kind of put this table together It's it's color-coded but kind of washed out because of our lighting and so on But here's Noah's sons This line is his grand sons then his great-grandson's is great great great great great great great great great great great And this is all given in chapter 10 all of these And then eventually through pileic as you go through you'll find the Lord Jesus Christ Some of the interesting characters in here. I could spend a lot of time going through it, but I won't so jay Fifth his lineage extended into Europe and became the basis for the Indo-European languages European the Indo-European group the ones that came through jay fifth where they became pretty much uncivilized ungodly barbarians They and then they moved to north america So that's where we are So there are so many of these for instance, I'll just take a couple of them out Ethnologists and linguists know the language bases our language has its roots in ancient Sanskrit which came from India and then they went out they settled into Europe Iran India central India And then you have gomer who settled in Asia Asia Minor magog who or magog however you say it You read about magog again in Ezekiel chapter 38 39 in the end times as a group that will attack Israel That's the father of ancient russians slabs Bulgarians bohemians poles pro-aitions And then you also have madah madah who's the father of needs Persians settled in India Iran Afghanistan Kurds Iranians or not shamites but speak farsi so they're a little different so Iran and Iraq two different people groups That you have the javin reeks came from him And so on and so on I don't want to go through all of this tarsish you'll read that name tarsish Anybody know anything about tarsish ever here with a starish before rojona rojona ran away to the land of tarsish this tarsishites That was probably in spain And then you have the sons of ham and they settled east west southwest in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Africa Kush ancient Ethiopia and We read also later on in Jeremiah and in Isaiah of them Mis- mis- mizram is in egypt put went to libya Canaan now it's very important to Canaan a lot of him to send at the hivites the heivites the jebi sites the gurgesites Remember those names where where john where would you read about those guys?

Joshua there were the enemies of Israel they were The most vicious cruel ungodly group that you would find in the scriptures a lot of them would sacrifice their children They had all kinds of horrible practices they descended through Canaan now. Why why were they the worst? Do you remember the last time no one planted a vineyard no one got drunk no one covered himself and lay in his tent Ham came in and went and goes And we'll be mocked as dad in front of the other sons no one found out and he said you know what? Ham person's Canaan your son my grandson and his descendants They were the they were the biggest thorn in the flesh to the children of Israel They fell into all kinds of sexual perversion and god gave them 400 years to repent which tells me that god is very patient The people will come to repentance 400 years he gave the Canaanites to repent repent God gave the land of Canaan the land of the Canaanites to Israel in genesis chapter 15 And then we have this other interesting character who descended from ham and I know the bible scholars would like me to spend a whole Lot of time and get into a lot of speculation about this guy, but I won't Nimrod anybody ever heard Nimrod So in fact that's an insult to people in k brat and where I grew up a guy who was a poor hunter Was sarcastically called oh yeah, I went hunting with that Nimrod and I got nothing or went fishing with that Nimrod and I got nothing I was not ahead to do with the the rod the fishing rod, but no it's a it's a it's a reference back to this guy I might be hunter now it says I might be hunter before the lord before the lord can mean one or two things Before the lord you come in to the holy of holies and you present an offering before the lord That's a good thing You live out your life in debauchery before the lord meaning the lord sees what you're doing Nimrod lived his life out as a mighty hunter And god saw what he was doing he operated against god Nimrod is actually a key figure in this passage Nimrod He's almost like a prototype of the antichrist.

He is mighty in his works He's he's in charge and he started up cities in the plains of shiner like Babylon The Assyrians came from through Nimrod. He was a ruler in in Nineveh And he was he was one who tried to turn the hearts of people against god So a very very wicked person descended from Canaan. So the scriptures again They're always accurate in what they say and then the last one I'm going to talk about Is the sons of Shem The remainder of genesis from this after after the tower of Babel will focus on Shem's lineage Shem is the one through the rest of the scriptures So eber the beginning of the Hebrew people elam the eelomites they invade Canaan in Their five kings read that in genesis chapter 13 And then so on and so on until you come to um There is one named pelig which is a very interesting person because it says that in his day that the earth would be divided Now some people say oh that's the beginning of continental drift and plate tectonics and all of the stuff that makes the earth No the flood was the beginning of that when the fountains of the great deep broke up and when the earth was massively changed It's talking now the the scriptures no longer focus on the structure of the earth the the the arrangement of the of the earth and and planets and so on It now it now focuses on people so it's the people who are divided up from here So interestingly the tower of Babel came about a hundred two hundred and twenty years after pelig So it was in his day. He was alive when the tower of Babel took place So after the flood there was a new social order there was human government that was given we talked about that the last time There was a new physical order the the earth had changed Weather patterns climates all of these things and it accelerated the fork focus away from what was going on on The physical part of the earth to the people of the earth you see ultimately that's what God is interested in God is interested in people.

God is interested in you. God is interested in me We live our lives out before God in front of him in full view of him and he works in our lives He wants to work in your life and if you don't have a relationship with him You were just living your life out before him with no relationship with the god of heaven And you're in a very very dangerous place if that's the way you're living God Ultimately wants you to know that the scriptures are given so that you understand that through sham through his people He sent a savior a savior for you to save you from your sins That's what all of the scriptures point to That's why all these lineages are given they back up what God has said This is this is where people groups came from but this is where the savior came from That's about the fastest i've ever done a chapter of the scriptures But I think if you really want to get into and study the Chapter 10 and the table of nations there are some really good resources and you can get them online from answers and genesis of creation ministries And institute for creation research just go in and look up table of nations and there's all kinds of very interesting things But it's it'll take us in way too deep for what we were trying to do here this morning Okay, so let's read the account of the tower of babel Genesis chapter 11 verse 1 the whole earth had one language and the same words And the people migrated from the east and found a plane In the land of shiner and settled there and there and they said to one another come Let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly and they had brick for stone and bitumen from mortar And when they had when they said come let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its tops in the heavens Let us make a name for ourselves. Let's be dispersed over the face of the whole earth Now here you might be saying well, what's the problem with that? I like big cities.

They're cool Well, they're not cool to god God said spread out and populate the earth fill the earth He didn't say go and settle into one place because he knew what man would be like and what they would do He knew our sinful hearts would lead us into all kinds of trouble He said to spread out through the whole earth, but whole here they are 2250 BC about 100 years after the flood. There's probably It's hard to say some say there was a thousand people on earth at that time. Some say 10,000 people some say 40,000 I'm not exactly sure but it doesn't matter. That's a small population Really small population and they all kind of went to this one place and they went to shiner and then they said you know what who needs god Let's make a name for ourselves.

Let's just you know what we're so self-sufficient. This is awesome We can do anything ever get that kind of messaging from the world today You can do anything just believe in yourself believe in I didn't watch too too much of the Olympics watch a couple of things That was an awesome relay thing them were the Canadian guys Hold off that surprise, but how many people at the end of it said that was an awesome run that you did That was a great pole vault that you did that was a great swim that you did. How did you do it? Well, you know, I just believed in myself and I knew I could do it.

Oh really? really No acknowledgement of the god of heaven who gave them the talent and the ability to do it Except for a few and it's very refreshing when you see I watched this young lady get to the mic and she said All I'm doing is what the god of heaven has enabled me to do and I thought wow what a refreshing change So the beginning of believing yourself did not start with the international Olympic committee It started back here in babble. We can do what we want to do and who cares about god in fact what we'll do We'll build a stairway to heaven. No, Sam.

You can't come up here and start playing that Well, that's what we're gonna do. We're gonna just build this we're gonna build this tower And you know what if we want to go up and see god we'll do that or we can bring them down We'll do whatever we want We're just gonna show god that we can build this this tower to go to heaven You know god had other plans for them Like I said god sent them with a populate, but they gathered in one place and now they're in trouble because they're all coming together And they're gonna build this tower So I want you to notice something that happens in verse four They said come let us build a tower make a name for ourselves or verse five rather Did I get lost here? Let us make a name for ourselves. So yeah, here we go.

It's verse seven So in verse five it says in the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the children of man built and the Lord said behold There are one people and they all have one language And this is only the beginning of what they will do and nothing they propose to do now Will be impossible for them come let us go down and confuse their language so that they may not understand to one another speech and the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth And they left off building the city Therefore the name of the name is called babble because the Lord confused the language of all the earth and from there The Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth So they had one language it only makes sense really. I mean the descendants of Adam coming through Noah Noah leaves the ship Noah didn't have you know, he wasn't skilled in five six languages. He had one language That was it the descendants come out. They just have one language Why learn another one why start another one if the one you've got is working the problem is it was working too Well, so they conspired together and they went to this shine iron and they and they built this started to build this tower But I want you to know is a verse seven this is a very interesting thing come let us go down and confuse their language Us this is God talking to God.

Let us go down Here we see the Trinity once again in the scriptures we see that the one God Is referred to as an us let us make man in our image and in the image of God created he him So the Lord just I'm changing your languages up They all change they all had these new languages. I don't know what that would have sounded like but it would be some confusing Now, can you imagine Christian you're right on the job site And you're doing your best with English and you're doing really well with Spanish and then all of a sudden everybody on the job site Has a language that's not English or Spanish. How much work are you getting done that day? Not it Right You're not going to get anything done.

And so this is what happened hand me a break what? Never heard that before well, you better go to England. So so they dispersed and then went all over the world Um It was interesting. I was just I was away on a trip a couple of weeks a couple of months ago And we went to this place that probably nobody's ever heard of before called a sonaraji And we go into this this field and they built this village Or not long after this within a thousand years of this 500 years probably And it's all built out of stone and it's got the tower in the middle of it and it's got all these towers around it It's got seven towers and then there's four around that and then the civilization is all around they found seven Thousand of these structures and they're big they're big.

It's not like the size of this room. It's it's huge It's a big field seven thousand of them on the island of Sardinia So like all of these things like you look at this you think oh my goodness. This is this takes you back and think What happened at the tower of bevel Has so much merit because where would they get those skills? Where would they have come from they had a unique language from anybody else and they just happened to land there So here we have this dispersion of language and confusion and cultures all over the earth So here's the results of about 70 people groups were dispersed from here.

They formed their own cultures and here's why Anybody and I don't look the same Christian and I have differences in the way we look Lordman and I have different appearance differences in appearance. Here's why As they move further from each other the cultures had very little contact with each other And as you have less contact there's changes in the genetic pool And your people tend to look like a person who led you to that place so at over time Distinct features and characteristics develop darker skin bigger noses Smaller hands whatever it might be different features from different places from different people groups This is why we have people from all over the that's why Mexicans don't look like Nigerians that don't look like Indians that don't look like Cape Brecklers That's why we look different We do look different from each other, but we've all come from the same place We have all got our roots in the same place So when we understand human history we can understand and deal with things like racism Now we don't normally come in here and talk like this is going to be a sermon topic today We're going to speak on racism, but it's very very real And it's very very wicked and it has its roots in evolutionary thinking it goes back before Darwin in fact There's a hymn in our hymn book that I won't sing And because it was written before Darwin in the 1700s and it's on the line in it And I'm thinking probably a very well-meaning man wrote that But with what he's saying he has drunk the Kool-Aid of the day And he's bought into it that there are different races and some races are Very well refined and some are savage that is so wrong So it comes it's from evolutionary thinking and it goes way way back So early evolutionists people with evolutionary philosophies influenced the idea of race Darwin jumped on this and so The title of his of his famous book that we know as origin of species Sometimes it even goes as far as to say origin of species by means of natural selection But the actual subtitle is or the preservation of favored races in the struggle for life That's the actual name and title of that book It is So you have to You have to look at that but if you read the origin of species say oh, that's nonsense What's he talking about? That's mostly about plants and animals and it is But it all led to his next book called the descent of man And if you read the descent of man It would turn your stomach the things that are said in there The things that are said about the people that look the jagger works with in Papua New Guinea That says about the ancestors and the people of Africa the people who lived outside of white england It's horrible, but that's where it led. So I look at it and think okay Evolution is not the result or I mean racism is not the result of evolution Racism is the result of sin Racism is when we hate one another because we look different from each other God says we have come from the same person God says I've made you in my image We all descend from Adam and then we all descend from Noah and no matter who you are or where you came from You came from those sources.

We are one blood Ken ham has written the book He and dr. Charles Ware and it's called one blood and I believe actually there's some DVDs in here that are very helpful on this I would encourage you to go online and look and watch answers and genesis on race So that we understand there actually are no races. There's one race. There's a human race But I know because of sin racism happens and it's happened in this world And I know that there are people sitting here Who have experienced it and it's horrible.

It's wicked and it's evil But I want you to understand that we have to look at what the bible says about this We have to look at what God says about this and how does God look at me? How does God look at you? We live in a world filled with sin and people look at each other in the wrong way But how does God look at us? How does God look at each one of us?

You see back in My question. What does the bible say? That's always the best question to ask yourself on anything If I want to know the answer to anything, what does the bible say? Is there any you know what if you're up against something and say I don't know Well, what does the bible say?

Well, I'm not really a bible scholar. I can't really look at it Ask somebody to help you find it in the bible. Ask somebody to help you just read your scriptures It's amazing how God will ask God to open your mind and open up to the pages of scriptures john said last week Will you take we take 30 minutes 60 minutes every day open the scriptures up read them and let them speak to you I am amazed how many times I'll be reading through something and I'm thinking whoa There's the answer that I've been looking for it's right there on the page. It just jumped off the page at me Sometimes it makes me weep sometimes it fills me with joy Read the scriptures.

You will find the answers the bible teaches one race human race mankind first Samuel chapter 16 verse 7 if you remember this time this is when Samuel comes in and he wants to anoint the king that they wanted and the lord says to him Samuel don't look on his appearance or the height of a stature Because I've rejected him speaking of soul For the lord does not see a man or does not see as man sees man looks on the outward appearance But the lord looks on the heart The lord looks on every heart here whether you're black white brown light brown. It doesn't matter. He's looking on your heart What matters to God is your heart Man unfortunately, oh look at that guy. He's got a big nose.

It makes me uncomfortable. Look at that guy. He talks like a k-bripper Makes me uncomfortable. Look at that guy.

He has something on his shirt that makes me uncomfortable That's the way we look at the outside we look at the outward appearance. God looks at your heart He knows your intent. He knows who you are. He knows what you are and that's the thing so when you get to act chapter 17 verse 24 and 26 it says God who made the world and everything in it.

This is Paul talking to the greeks Made everything in it. He is the lord of heaven and earth He does not dwell in temples made with hands nor is he worshiped with men's hands as though he needed anything since he gives To all life breath and all things and he has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on the face of the earth and has determined Their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings. God has made us all from one blood I take great comfort in that He has not divided man. The divisions among mankind are man-made divisions in God's sight We are all the same the great commission.

Jesus Christ said go there for all the world and make disciples of all nations He didn't say stick to one. He said go to all nations Acts chapter 10 verse 28. We just read this in our in our men's study a couple of weeks ago Acts chapter 10 verse 28 and there's a plug if you haven't been coming to man study start in that room Saturday nine o'clock That's chapter 10 verse 28 and Peter told them this is Cornelius he comes to a home of a Gentile I'm not supposed to have anything to do with Gentiles, but he's there in his in his home And he says you know it's against jewish laws for me to come to a Gentile home like this But God has shown me that I should never think of anyone as impure These are wonderful scriptures. These are wonderful scriptures and it should change the way we all look at people That's chapter 17 verse 30 the times of ignorance God has overlooked and now he commands all people everywhere to repent No distinction all people everywhere You see as far as God is concerned there is one race But there are two groups of people There are two people groups in that one race there are those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ And they are saved in going to heaven and there are those who do not believe and that will fall into the judgment of God But they don't have to by simply believing you you move from being those who are as the scriptures as condemned already He the people whoever believes is not condemned but has everlasting life But he who does not believe is condemned already you can move from condemned to not condemned how by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ He is the one who died for your sins.

He is the one who has come to take away your sins Which one are you in? I would pray this morning that there's nobody here Who is in the group that does not believe who has never come to Jesus Christ has no understanding of who he is Perhaps you know who he is, but you haven't taken him to be yours You need to turn. I pray that this morning you do Let's pray father. Thank you For this time to look into the scriptures.

We thank you for the Lord Jesus our Savior We thank you for the life that we have in him The Lord as we read through what seems like endless genealogies we realize that this is the history of mankind this is the this is the Adams race That you sent your son to die for Father, we thank you that we can have life in him. Thank you that we can be saved Thank you that through the line of Shem you set a Savior a Savior of the world I pray if there's anybody here this morning who has never come to trust him that today they will Also, Lord, I pray as we know we live in a wicked world We know that there is evil wickedness and even in the form of racism around us Father, I pray that anybody who's here that has been been Subjected to that Lord that you would first of all help them to understand what the scripture says says And I pray you help them to heal. I also pray. Lord that you would help us Father to forgive those who have said such things against us We ask you to the name of the Lord Jesus our Savior.

Amen. I have
