David Park
from Highway 89
We spend one-on-one time with Utah Symphony Assistant Concertmaster David Park. He’s prepared a program of music entirely by classical French composers including the beloved violin piece by Jules Massenet: “Meditation” from the opera Thaïs. Between performances Marcus Smith will ask David about his love of sports (he’s a big enthusiasist—follows everything!) and love of wine. Repertoire in this episode: RAVEL Violin Sonata, Mvts. 2, 3; POULENC Improvisation No. 7; Trois Pièces: Toccata; SAINT-SAËNS Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso; MASSENET Thaïs: Meditation Follow Highway 89 on twitter @byuH89
