David Turner - From Brokenness to Breakthrough

This week Pastor David talks about the necessary topic of guarding our hearts. With so much information being taken in at once through social media, the news, people and places, it's easy to become consumed by everything around us. However, this week's sermon discusses the importance of understanding that not all things presented to us should be welcomed in. The Bible says that our "heart determines the course of our life". With this in mind, we must be aware of even the small cracks that we leave open to the enemy. This awareness is important because when we give the enemy an inch, he takes a mile and entices us deeper in our mess than we expect. But even when we do grant the wrong things access to our heart, freedom is still available! We receive redemption when we take charge over the enemy and by keeping our spiritual awareness up and seeking God to renew our hearts and minds. When we guard our thoughts and seek the Lord for spiritual discernment, He helps us even in times when we may mess up.
