But beyond the battle, we see a deeper theme emerging: faith vs. fear. While Saul and Israel cowered before the Philistine giant, David saw something different—God’s power. His trust in the Lord led to an incredible victory, yet Saul’s jealousy soon turned to paranoia, leading him to hunt David. As David fled for his life, he continued to trust God’s promises, writing Psalm 59 in the midst of his trials. How do we respond to challenges?
