November is national diabetes awareness month, which will focus attention on the millions of Americans living with the condition, including the one in four older adults who have diabetes.Older adults and people with underlying conditions like diabetes have been hit hard by covid-19, which is why certified nurse practitioner Davida Kruger (pronounced duh-vee-duh crew-ger), says this group needs to be especially mindful of their health. In 2017, Kruger was named the diabetes educator of the year by the American diabetes association. This year for national diabetes awareness month she has teamed up with Dexcom to share what people with diabetes and their loved ones need to know about diabetes and covid-19, and the innovative technologies available to help monitor their health.
