Davion Thompson's Big Decision

Davion Thompson, the top-ranked 2027 point guard and five-star recruit, is set to announce his college destination tonight at 8 PM CT — and Baylor is in the driver’s seat. Ranked 22 overall and 5 among point guards, Thompson has narrowed his list to Baylor, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and Michigan, with Baylor’s NBA development track record and coach Scott Drew’s player-first philosophy making it a standout choice. Rumors swirl that he might reclassify to 2026, potentially joining fellow five-star Dylan Mingo in Waco — a move that could reshape the Big 12’s backcourt. With his sights on the NBA and a desire for a program that feels like home, Thompson’s decision could be the biggest recruiting story of the night — and Arkansas is hoping to steal the spotlight.
