DawgmanRadio: Tina Langley Reflects On First Pac 12 Win On Senior Day

from Dawgman Radio: A Washington Huskies athletics podcast · host 247Sports, Washington Huskies, Washington football, Washington Huskies athletics, Football, Baseball

It was a long process, but it all paid off on Sunday when the Husky women's basketball team, 0-10 on the season in conference play, got their first conference win of the season with a 74-69 win over Arizona State at Alaska Airlines Arena. It wasn't just a win to get first-year head coach Tina Langley her first conference win, it also was a way to get the seniors a win in their last home game.Langley met with the media on Monday and talked about what it meant to get the first win, if there was only going to be one, to come on Senior Night and what players like Nancy Mulkey and Missy Petersen have meant to the program since she took over. She also addressed freshman guard Jayda Noble playing the most minutes she's played all season and her contributions to the winning effort. Finally, Langley looked ahead at the final two games of the season, road games against a rebuilding Cal squad which is 11-10 on the season, but just 2-8 in conference play, and a team on the other end of the spectrum, second-ranked Stanford, which is currently 23-3 overall and a perfect 14-0 in conference play.
