DawgmanRadio: Was Day Five of UW Fall Camp the day the quarterback battle was decided?

from Dawgman Radio: A Washington Huskies athletics podcast · host 247Sports, Washington Huskies, Washington football, Washington Huskies athletics, Football, Baseball

Tuesday was Day Five of Washington's Fall Camp, and the guys from Dawgman.com - Kim Grinolds, Chris Fetters, and Scott Eklund - went through everything that they saw, including a ho-hum first half of practice, followed by fireworks during the second half. The second half finally got to some situational team stuff, including the first 2-minute drill we've gotten a chance to see, and it was very revealing. Michael Penix, Jr. led the offense to touchdowns on two drives, the second one with 12 seconds to go during a 2-minute drill. After the quarterback talk, the guys move to the other side of the ball and give some much-needed love to the EDGE players, who have been killing it so far. The talk specifically revolves around Sav'ell Smalls and Zion Tupuola-Fetui. They move back to the offense and talk a little bit about Aaron Dumas getting some more reps and how consistent Sam Adams has looked so far through five practices. After one final break, the talk moves to the many guests that were at practice today. There were a number of former Huskies, including Micah Hatchie and Coach Dick Baird, as well as former Dawgs who now are scouting in the NFL: Cary Conklin and Mark Bruener. The guys then talk briefly about the women that have been at some of the early practices. There have been multiple referees that have taken part, and a female scout for the New York Giants was spotted on the sidelines today. The guys offer their final thoughts, with a reminder that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY to take advantage of our half-off a yearly subscription, and monthly users are eligible to take advantage of this offer too! AND, the guys are on Sports Radio KJR 93.3 FM from 4-6 pm PT TONIGHT to talk all things UW Football and fall camp, so tune in!
