Day 0.75 | Making Room for Rest

from Discipline Diaries

Got something to say to this podcast? Send a voicemail, and you might hear yourself on the next episode! Why do I feel guilty for resting? Today was Thanksgiving and my first full day off work in about a year. I had big plans to prepare for my 75-day challenge, but when I woke up, all I wanted was a day when nobody needed anything from me. In Day 0.75 of Discipline Diaries, I’m working through the guilt of unfinished tasks, my habit of overscheduling, and the fear of starting something I might not finish. I’m also questioning what work-life balance looks like when you’re building a business and wearing every hat. Tomorrow is still Day One. The preparation isn’t finished, and I’m nervous—but I’m choosing to begin anyway, with faith, hope, and a little grace. Maybe part of preparing was letting myself rest.
