Hello, my friend, I am Guthrie Chamberlain, your captain on our journey to increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Thank you for joining us today as we explore wisdom on our 2nd millennium of podcasts. This is Day 1015 of our trek, and it is time for our 3-minute mini trek called Wisdom Unplugged.  This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little bit of additional content for today’s trek. Today’s quote is from Mario Andretti,and it is, “Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal — a commitment to excellence — that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”

Determination and Commitment

Yes, we first must have the desire to succeed, but desire is not enough.  It is only when we are both determined to succeed and make an unwavering commitment to succeed, regardless of the obstacles which we experience, that we will achieve success in that unrelenting pursuit of our goal.  There is never a straight or easy path to success, but as we are committed to excellence and focused, every struggling step forward will bring us closer to that goal.  Yes, we do want to reach our goal, but what is more important is the person whom we become in pursuit of that goal. Keep looking forward and always enjoy your journey through the sunshine and the rain.
