Hello, my friend, I am Guthrie Chamberlain, your captain on our journey to increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Thank you for joining us today as we explore wisdom on our 2nd millennium of podcasts. This is Day 1039 of our trek, and it is time for Meditation Monday. Taking time to relax, refocus, and reprioritize our lives is crucial in order to create a living legacy. For you, it may just be time alone for quiet reflection. You may utilize structured meditation practices. In my life meditation includes reading and reflecting on God’s Word and praying. It is a time, to renew my mind, refocus on what is most important, and make sure that I am nurturing my soul, mind, and body. As you come along with me on our trek each Meditation Monday, it is my hope and prayer that you too will experience a time for reflection and renewing of your mind. Do you believe that God provides you with the strength, mercy, and grace to continue on each day? In our Meditation Monday today I want us to reflect on… Lord, Prop Us Up On Our Leaning Side Today I want to share with you a story that I read recently that will provide you with a thought that you can meditate on this week. Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old farmer who always prayed, “Lord, prop us up on our leanin’ side.” After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently. He answered, “Well Guthrie, you see, it’s like this…I got an old barn that is out back of my house. It’s been there a long time; it’s withstood a lot of weather; it’s gone through a lot of storms, and it’s stood for many years. It’s still standing. But one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit. So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on its leaning side of the barn so it wouldn’t fall. Then I got to thinking about that and how much I was like that old barn. That barn has been around for a long time, and I realize that it is not too much different than me.
