Thank you for joining us today as we explore wisdom on our 2nd millennium of podcasts. This is Day 1137 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Humor Unplugged. Our Thursday podcast will provide a short and clean funny story to help you lighten up and live a rich and satisfying life – something to cheer you and provide a bit a levity in your life. So let’s jump right in with today’s funny which is titled… A Demanding Father Pastor Jim, a country preacher, is walking down a lane near the Smith farm on an exceptionally hot day. As he is about to pass a hay field, he sees Sam Smith Jr. struggling with all his mite to load a big pile of hay back onto the cart where it had obviously fallen off. Pastor Jim calls over and says, “You look very hot, Sammy. Why don’t you come on over and rest a moment? I have some fresh cold lemonade, and after you are refreshed I’ll give you a hand.” “No, thanks,” says Sam Jr. “My father wouldn’t approve.” “Don’t be silly,” Pastor Jim says. “Your dad is not that harsh, is he? Everyone is entitled to a break.
