These chapters reveal that while God faithfully preserves His kingdom and keeps His promises, the consequences of sin often linger across relationships, communities, and generations, making restoration slow, difficult, and incomplete in a fallen world. They ultimately point to Christ, the greater Son of David, who alone can fully reconcile what rebellion has shattered, establish an unshakable kingdom that cannot be divided, and bring the lasting peace, justice, and restoration that David’s kingdom could only partially anticipate.
