Day 148 - Psalms 148 of 150 Days of Psalms Mountain Top Prayer Pastor Chidi Okorie Episode 1198 - SendMe Radio

Psalm 148 is a beautiful call for all of creation to praise the Lord. It highlights the majesty and sovereignty of God, urging both the heavens and the earth to acknowledge His greatness. The psalm is divided into two parts: the first focuses on the heavens, and the second turns to the earth. 1.Praise in the Heavens (Verses 1-6): The psalm begins with a call for the heavens to praise God. The angels, the sun, moon, stars, and all the heavenly bodies are invited to join in this celestial worship. Even the highest heavens and the waters above the sky are urged to praise the Lord because they were all created by His command. The psalmist emphasizes that God’s word established them, and His power sustains them forever. 2.Praise on Earth (Verses 7-14): In the second part, the psalmist calls upon the earth to praise God. This includes the creatures of the sea, weather patterns like fire, hail, snow, wind, and all mountains, trees, animals, and people. From kings and rulers to the young and old, everyone is called to glorify the name of the Lord. The psalm concludes by acknowledging that God has raised a horn for His people, Israel, which can be seen as a symbol of strength and salvation. The overarching theme of Psalm 148 is that all creation, from the highest heavens to the depths of the earth, is designed to glorify God. It conveys the idea that everything that exists owes its life and purpose to the Creator. The psalmist celebrates the unity of creation in its common goal: to offer praise to God. Through this universal act of worship, the greatness of God is displayed for all to see.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sendme-radio--732966/support.“Thank you for listening to SendMe Radio — where we share the Gospel, inspire faith, and keep you connected with powerful stories and updates from around the world.
