DAY 152: 2 Chronicles 1; Psalm 72
from Five Minute Bible Hosted by Kendall Lankford
DAY 152: 2 Chronicles 1; Psalm 72 2 Chronicles 1 and Psalm 72 bring us into the height of Solomon’s wisdom kingdom as peace, prosperity, justice, and flourishing begin spreading outward beneath the blessing of God. Solomon’s request for wisdom rather than raw power reveals that true kingdom flourishing grows not from military might or political ambition, but from righteous rule shaped by the fear of the Lord, while Psalm 72 expands this vision into a breathtaking portrait of a king whose reign brings justice to the poor, peace to the nations, abundance to the earth, and blessing to the ends of the world. These passages ultimately point to Jesus Christ, the greater Solomon and true Wisdom of God, whose everlasting kingdom fulfills every promise of righteous dominion, establishing perfect justice, covenant peace, and worldwide blessing as the nations are gathered beneath His eternal reign.
