Day 18: from Proverbs and Psalms.

Proverbs 18 - A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, only in expressing his opinion. - Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord; a brother offended is harder to win than a strong city.Psalms 86 - 90 - Psalm 86 is David's prayer for mercy, asking God to teach him his way and unite his heart to fear God's name, praising him as great and compassionate. - Psalm 87 celebrates Zion as the city God loves, where people from many nations are born and counted as citizens. - Psalm 88 is a lament of deep distress, crying out in darkness with no relief, feeling abandoned by God and friends. - Psalm 89 praises God's steadfast love and covenant with David, yet mourns the apparent breaking of that promise amid the king's humiliation. - Psalm 90, by Moses, reflects on God's eternal nature versus human frailty, asking for wisdom to number our days and for his favor to rest on his servants.
