A Roman centurion, Cornelius, is told by an angel to send for the Apostle Peter. Meanwhile, God gives Peter a vision to abandon dietary restrictions, preparing him to welcome Gentiles. Today Christians do not have strict religious dietary restrictions. Because New Testament teachings declare all foods "clean," followers are typically free to eat whatever they choose.
