If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:Today’s quote is from Proverbs 14:15, and it is: A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps.Be PrudentI realize that misinformation has been around since the beginning of humankind when the serpent tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. The angelic creature assured Eve that God kept something precious from her and Adam. But, unfortunately, they both believed and were deceived. So it is in our day, the news media and social media are full of all kinds of slanted or misleading information to draw us in, so we will consume their propaganda, just as Adam and Eve did. If we are not prudent and too simple in our thinking, it is easy to be sucked into the subtle lies and partial truths. We must know God’s Word so well that we can discern when information contradicts God’s precepts. Then, we need to think about our decisions and our steps. Be careful not to be deceived by information that aligns closely with your worldview just because you like what is said. Understand that news media and social media are both driven by getting people to listen, watch, and read to increase revenue. It doesn’t matter whether the information is on the right or the left, liberal or conservative; if it contradicts God’s Word, sound wisdom, and good old common sense, you are being fed information that is at least partially untrue.
