So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:Today’s quote is from a Larry Burkett, and it is: A wise person seeks much counsel...a fool listens to all of it.Seek Wise CounselYou would think that wise people would not need to seek additional counsel since they already have a level of wisdom that is more than most people. The opposite is true. A wise person continues to gain wisdom throughout their life because they are wise enough to know that they are not wise enough. There is another crucial distinction between some who is wise and someone who is foolish. The wise person can discern which counsel adds to their wisdom and which counsel is not wisdom. Those who remain foolish do not have the discernment to distinguish between good and bad counsel, so they accept it all, which adds to their foolishness. The attributes of a wise person are that they know which counsel to keep and which to discard. God expects us to be wise.
