Day 19: Genesis 22-24
from Five Minute Bible Hosted by Kendall Lankford
What happens when God touches the promise He already fulfilled? In today’s episode of Five Minute Bible, we step into Genesis 22–24, the emotional center of Abraham’s story. The promise has arrived. Isaac is alive. The waiting is over. And now God presses faith to its deepest point. These chapters are not about whether God can give good gifts. They ask something far more unsettling: can God still be trusted once the gift is in hand? The story moves from a mountain of obedience, to a grave of loss, to a quiet act of faith that secures the future. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is explained away. Faith is no longer loud—it is tested, buried, and carried forward. As you read today, consider this guiding question: Do I trust God with His promises—or only while I understand His ways? Watch how trust matures, how obedience deepens, and how God moves His plan forward not through control, but through surrender. The promise does not collapse under pressure. It advances. Read your Bible carefully, devotionally, and joyfully—and join us tomorrow as the journey continues.
