Pause… In Proverbs 12:8-14, we continue our exploration of the characteristics and outcomes of living a life of wisdom. These verses provide valuable insights into the distinctions between the wise and the foolish. Verse 8: “A person is praised according to their prudence, and one with a warped mind is despised.” This verse introduces us to the idea that prudence leads to praise, while a warped mind leads to disdain. It underscores the importance of sound judgment and wise decision-making. Pause… Verse 9: “Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.” Here, we encounter the contrast between humility and pretension.
