Day 242 | King Cyrus of Persia surprises the Israelites | 2 Corinthians 3: Old Law vs the New Glory

Day 242 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. After Josiah's death, things go downhill as his successors ignore God and get defeated by Egypt and Babylon. Finally, the temple is destroyed, and the people are exiled, fulfilling Jeremiah’s prophecy, until Cyrus of Persia allows them to return and rebuild. In 2 Corinthians, Paul contrasts the glory of the old covenant, which was fading, to the surpassing glory of the new covenant in the Spirit. He says with Christ, the 'veil' is lifted, and we can be transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory.Support the show at Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/storymasterFind us at https://www.oneyearholybible.com/Join our Facebook group for further discussion: https://www.facebook.com/biblein1yearpodcast2 Chronicles 35:20-272 Chronicles 362 Corinthians 3: 7-18Psalm 104: 19-30You're listening to the "Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE" with Master Storyteller, Michael Wood.
