from Wisdom for the Day - Standing Strong · host Rick Yuhas

Send us Fan MailOppressive Lips 16 A person who gets ahead by oppressing the poor     or by showering gifts on the rich will end in poverty.17 Listen to the words of the wise;     apply your heart to my instruction.18 For it is good to keep these sayings in your heart     and always ready on your lips. Verse 16 reminds us that God cares for the poor and powerless, and He will stand against anyone who tries to take advantage of them.We are starting, right here, The last major section of the Book of Proverbs. The section includes several different parts. There are:·††† short proverbs (wise words);·††† longer lessons;·††† puzzles;·††† and a poem.Verses 17 and 18 encourage us to memorize Scriptures. Doing so not only makes us wiser but also helps us find joy and pleasure in learning God's words.Let me ask you: Have you ever memorized Scripture? A fun and easy way to do this is by learning it as a song. Try searching for a verse online followed by the word "song" (for example, “Proverbs 3:5 song”), and you’ll likely find it set to music. Almost any verse can be found in song form!If you want daily truth in a raw, simple format… come follow us on TikTok at Wisdom for the Day — RAW.Real truth. Real moments.
