Day 283: Saint Lawrence

Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Lawrence, one of the Church's greatest martyrs. As a deacon of Rome, he cared for the poor, protected the Church's resources, and boldly proclaimed that the true treasure of the Church was its people.
