The events leading to Jesus' crucifixion unfold as Judas agrees to betray Him and a woman anoints Jesus in preparation for His burial. At the Last Supper, Jesus establishes the significance of His body and blood in the new covenant, then goes to Gethsemane to pray in deep anguish while His disciples struggle to stay awake. Jesus is arrested, abandoned by His disciples, and brought before the high priest, while Peter denies knowing Him three times.
