Day 287: Saint Maximilian Kolbe

Today we celebrate Saint Maximilian Kolbe, the Conventual Franciscan priest, missionary, publisher, and martyr who gave his life at Auschwitz so another prisoner could live. Long before his final sacrifice, Maximilian dedicated his life to Jesus through Mary, built an extraordinary Catholic media apostolate, and carried the Gospel as far as Japan.
