Prayer is a dialogue with God and it is in meditation that you begin to hear what God is saying. There is no point of having a communication with someone and yet not allowing them to speak. This is what happens when we come to God in prayer and dont take time to meditate - allow God to speak. Through mediation we are able to be with God without an agenda and just allowing Him to speak. Like all other discipline, mediation needs to be intentional - you need to carve out time from your schedule and go into meditation over God's word. This will prepare you to be a good worshipper.
