Day 31: Exodus 4-6
from Five Minute Bible Hosted by Kendall Lankford
What if obedience makes things worse before they get better? In today’s episode of Five Minute Bible, we move into Exodus 4–6, where God’s calling collides with human fear and public failure. The deliverer has been named. The mission has begun. And almost immediately, everything feels wrong. These chapters force an uncomfortable question into the open. What happens when God’s command is clear, but the servant feels unqualified, unprepared, and exposed? What happens when obedience does not bring relief, but resistance? Moses steps forward—and the situation deteriorates. As you read today, keep this guiding question in mind: Why does God so often call people who feel unready to carry His work forward? Watch how fear does not disqualify a servant, how failure does not cancel a calling, and how God refuses to retreat when His messenger falters. The pressure increases. Confidence collapses. And yet the promise does not move. Read your Bible carefully, devotionally, and joyfully—and join us tomorrow as God’s power begins to escalate.
