David trusts that God will deal with Saul in His time. Meanwhile Saul continues to spiral. Desperate and afraid, he seeks guidance from a medium instead of the Lord, showing just how far he has fallen from obedience.The book ends on a tragic battlefield. Saul and his sons die fighting the Philistines, bringing his troubled reign to a painful close.These chapters contrast two hearts. David waits for God’s timing and refuses to seize the throne by force. Saul clings to power and turns away from the Lord. One man is being prepared to rule. The other is collapsing under the weight of disobedience.And through it all, the story points forward to the greater Son of David.
