Day 51: 2 Samuel 11-15

What began as hidden sin is exposed when the prophet Nathan confronts the king. David repents, but Nathan warns that the sword will not depart from David’s house. Forgiveness is real, but consequences still unfold.The chapters that follow show the painful aftermath. Violence erupts within David’s family. Absalom, David’s son, eventually rises in rebellion and steals the loyalty of the people. By chapter 15, David is forced to flee Jerusalem as his own son claims the throne.These chapters remind us that even the greatest leaders are vulnerable to devastating failure. Sin does not stay private. It spreads outward and wounds others.
