Asa begins well, removing idols and calling the people back to the Lord, but later he turns to human solutions instead of divine help.These chapters reveal a pattern: starting well is not the same as finishing well. Trust in God must be sustained, not assumed.And through it all, the story keeps pointing forward to a better King, one who does not drift, does not divide, and does not fail.
