Day Shift (2022)

It's spooky season and we're sharing treats with each other...and with you, the audience, in the form of a little Netflix movie about a single mom who works too hard. Who loves her kid and never stops. Oh, wait, sorry, wrong show. Anyway, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, and the BEST Franco—Dave—team up in a world where vampires aren't the only monsters out there. That's right, we're looking at you, CAROL. This is the first movie in our October double-feature because we couldn't pick just one film this month! She knew she wanted to be an author from the day she first read A Wrinkle in Time when she was a child, and she grew up inspired by authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien, Philip Pullman, Garth Nix, and Dennis Lehane (the ultimate master of plot twists). It has always been her dream to become a published author, and it is her hope to expand into multiple genres of fiction. http://linktr.ee/authormaphipps Rebecca is an American author who resides in the bucolic hills of West Virginia in the heart of Appalachia with her rugged husband, two hilarious daughters, and a small congress of animals. As you can see, she's fond of pretty words and has been since preschool. This is also probably why she wanted to be an author after reading Catherine Called Birdy when she was ten. This was the book that taught her how to say cuss words in a creative manner. Rebecca has two published short stories in the science-fiction and urban fantasy genres and plans to write full-length projects in the near future. She one day hopes to be able to add "multi-genre author" to her list of career titles. https://lnk.bio/rebeccarede
