Elijah stands as the greatest of Old Testament prophets next to John the Baptist. He shut up the rain from heaven. He summoned Ahab. He challenged the prophets of Baal. He rebuilt the altar that was broken down. He called down fire from heaven. He executed judgement. God has not abandoned us. As He proved faithful to Elijah, He will prove faithful to us until the day He calls us home.
