The chess set has piqued the interest of several characters including Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd), and Belle Black (Martha Madison).  DOOL spoilers indicate they are all trying to decipher the meaning behind the missing pawn in the chess set. Chad and Belle suspect that the missing pawn could symbolize another person altogether, possibly a new pawn. This theory is further fueled when a key unexpectedly falls out of the chess set while Chad and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) are examining it.  Days of our Lives stirs speculation that Brady Black, John's son, could be the new pawn in Stefano's game.
