A series of articles in Significance examined the discourse around reproduction rates during COVID, and it’s the focus of this episode of Stats and Stories with guest Gavin Freeguard Gavin Freeguard is a freelance consultant focused on among other things, data, information, and policy. He formerly worked at the Institute for Government in the UK, where he served for a time as the programme director, head of data and transparency. Years ago, Freeguard was the deputy director of The Orwell Prize, which recognizes the best of British political writing. He authored a 5-part series in Significance about reproduction rates and COVID.
