Days without Number?

This passage with its “us” and “our” and “we” is definitely meant for several people at least. With whom do you talk about numbering your days? Is it difficult or uncomfortable for you to communicate to your friends, children, or grandchildren that your life is ever becoming shorter? You certainly are aware of it. Does it help you or those to whom you relate your thoughts to “gain a heart of wisdom?” A heart of wisdom finds its hope in recognizing that the days in eternity have no number, and that it is wise to prepare oneself and others in realizing the blessedness of life eternal. If we are lacking in wisdom, James, in chapter one, advises us to ask God for it. We can ask the Lord with no doubting. What better assurance do we need to have to gain a heart of wisdom!
