Daytona Summer- Interview with Ryan Ellis

from Splash of Gas with Dave Weichert

As the summer heat rolls into late August, the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series return to Daytona for their second stop of the year. A lot has changed since we first roared into the season at the 500, and the storylines are hotter than ever. I got into town late Thursday and was trackside Friday, ready to take it all in. For the Xfinity Series, Daytona marks the third-to-last race of the regular season. Connor Zilisch makes his comeback after his collarbone injury, with Parker Kligerman on standby if needed. Meanwhile, RCR's Jesse Love and Austin Hill are looking to strike. Over in the Cup Series, it's the last chance for drivers to punch their ticket into the playoffs before the Round of 16 begins at Darlington. Who will rise to the occasion—and who will come up short? I'll be on track all weekend long, bringing you every bit of the action. Plus: An interview with Xfinity driver Ryan Ellis Yellow Flag / Green Flag Fast Davey's Bets Discussions with Dave Predictions for DuQuoin, Portland, and Darlington And so much more! Big shoutout to JR Pine from Alloy and Optum for the incredible hospitality this weekend—much appreciated!
