Dazed and Confused

from The Phileo Podcast · host Troy Byers

Late Nights at Blockbuster This week’s episode is a Late Nights at Blockbuster celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Dazed and Confused. This movie was the springboard for a few mega stars of the 90s and early 2000s. We have some disclaimers about the movie before we go on to talk about it for more than 90 minutes. Byers does actual research on the drinking age in Texas during this time and we dive into how our generation was the last to feel like this movie still feels like a high school movie that takes place during their timeframe despite it being 20 years later. We added a new category and Byers reminded Troy of an old category that was perfect for this movie. Goofs: Troy went 0 for 2 on his guesses for Julia Stiles and Natalie Portman’s college choices. Stiles attended Columbia and Portman attended Harvard. Intro/Outro music by friend of the podcast Seth Gilbertson.
