To start, Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives exists in a world where the classic film exists, why was that important to the story?One might say the Creature from the Black Lagoon is basically a humanoid animal, does your version have threatening powers or abilities we’re not aware of?The issue opens with details about drowning, how much research went into the effects of drowning?What makes the creature so scary, for you personally?The first line in the first issue reads, “They say it’s the most peaceful way to die.” Do you tend to agonize over the first line of your stories? It’s a good one!Will your story explore the origins of the creature?If you had a crack at another Universal monster, what would it be and why?
