Vandaag blikken we terug op de jaarlijkse bijeenkomst van het World Economic Forum, die vorige week naar goede gewoonte plaatsvond in Davos. Met alle spanningen en gebeurtenissen die eraan voorafgingen, beloofde het dé grote Trump-show te worden. In een speech die bijna anderhalf uur duurde, kondigde Trump aan dat hij militaire actie uitsluit om Groenland bij de VS in te lijven. Niet veel later trok hij ook de geplande handelstarieven in die hij wilde opleggen aan Europese partners die daar militairen hadden gestationeerd. Maar het was niet alleen Trump die in Davos de show stal. Ook onze premier zette een sterk optreden neer, en dat is niet onopgemerkt gebleven in de internationale pers.
