In een overvol wielerjaar volgen de grote evenementen elkaar op met deze week zelfs twee grote rondes tegelijk! Terwijl in Nederland de Tour de France Femmes van start ging, start in Portugal op zaterdag de Vuelta a Espana. In het eerste deel van de podcast blikt Sander Valentijn samen met Jeroen Vanbelleghem en Michael Boogerd vooruit naar de Vuelta. Ze nemen het parcours door waar klimmen de hoofdmoot is, met daarnaast stevige heuveletappes maar gaan we überhaupt nog een sprint(er) zien deze Vuelta? Daarnaast hebben we het over de (tweede) kanshebbers, met veel renners die hun seizoen proberen te redden. En hoe komt de strijd om het rood eruit te zien met UAE die het de titelverdediger Kuss en topfavoriet Roglic lastig zullen proberen te maken. Ook hoor je waarom supermarkten, gieren en een disco allemaal bij de Vuelta horen. Aansluitend gaat de blik naar de Tour de France Femmes. Met de twee overwinningen voor Kool, de etappes en kanshebbers in de aankomende dagen en de uitdagers van Vollering in het loodzware laatste weekend.
