DEAD POETS SOCIETY (1989) is Inspiring and Moving! | Movie Reaction | First Time Watch

Join hosts Vivian and Alli as they react for the first time to the iconic 1989 coming-of-age drama Dead Poets Society. The classic film follows dynamic English teacher John Keating as he uses unconventional methods and poetry to inspire his repressed students at an elite 1950s New England boarding school to "carpe diem" and break free from rigid societal expectations. Watch as Vivian and Alli experience the emotional roller coaster, memorable lessons, and heart-wrenching turning points of this beloved staple of cinematic history. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Peter Weir (The Truman Show, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, The Peter Weir Collection, Witness), Dead Poets Society stars the legendary Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting, Mrs. Doubtfire, Aladdin, Jumanji, Night at the Museum), alongside a star-studded young ensemble including Ethan Hawke (Training Day, Before Sunrise, The Black Phone, Marvel’s Moon Knight, Sinister), Robert Sean Leonard (House, Swing Kids, Much Ado About Nothing, The Gilded Age), Josh Charles (The Good Wife, Sports Night, The Flash, We Own This City), Gale Hansen (Shakes the Clown), and Kurtwood Smith (That '70s Show, Robocop, That '90s Show, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country), with an Oscar-winning screenplay by Tom Schulman (What About Bob?, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids). ___________________ We've got merch!
