Dead Show/podcast for 9/11/20

from The Deadpod

Here's a request from a friend of the Deadpod from down under... this comes to us from the beautiful Red Rocks Ampitheater, on September 8, 1983. Now I only have set 2 in a soundboard format so that's all I'll present of this wonderful show, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  They come out of the gate with a smokin' Scarlet>Fire, the Scarlet almost has a calypso feel to it to my ears as they start, and Phil is driving that train..  as it progresses Jerry just soars.. this one builds and builds and you don't know how they can stop on a dime like they do and go into that Fire.. then suddenly you're there.. i love Brett on this Fire by the way.. the ensemble is terrific here.  Estimated follows after a full stop here, and makes a fine transition to a delicate Terrapin..  Post-drums begins with an Other One tease, but instead Weir leads the band into an excellent 'Throwin' Stones'. The remainder of this set is very high quality Dead. Don't overlook any of it.      Grateful Dead Red Rocks Amphitheatre Morrison, CO       9/8/83 - Thursday Two     Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain ; Estimated Prophet > Terrapin Station > Drums > Space > Throwing Stones > Black Peter > Around And Around > Good Lovin' Encore      It's All Over Now, Baby Blue  You can listen to this week's Deadpod here:  http://traffic.libsyn.com/deadshow/deadpod091120.mp3    there's alot of pain and suffering out there, I hope this is a bit of brightness to your week.    thank you for your support.
